**New START/FINISH Location** (updated Oct 13)
LOOK FOR THE FRCC FLAGS!!
Members and Guests are INVITED TO ATTEND (just show up!) this FREE Orange County Chapter Ride designed to HONOR the Memory of BRIAN VILLA, an L.A. Sheriff Department Deputy, who tragically suffered fatal injuries as a result of a solo bicycle crash in September. Brian was an avid cyclist and was training for the POLICE UNITY TOUR at the time of the incident. He will be missed greatly and we hope to honor his memory and also provide some financial assistance to his Family.
Donations will be accepted (voluntary) at the start and finish of the ride.
ANY AMOUNT helps! Cash and Checks will be accepted. Checks should be made payable to L.E.C.A. (Law Enforcement Cycling Association). ALL PROCEEDS go directly to Brian's Family!
After the ride we plan on eating & socializing at BJ'S Restaurant & Brewery (& possibly other restaurants also) which is in the IRVINE MARKETPLACE center (optional-about 1 mile from the Finish). This would be at personal expense and you may wish to bring a change of clothing.
RIDE INFO: This ride is the FRCC Orange County Chapter's ride for this date and Guests are invited! The route is a loop around the Irvine & Lake Forest area. It consists of Bicycle Lanes on Public Streets and Bicycle Paths. All climbing is gentle with one gradual climb of approximately 2 miles. It is a scenic & enjoyable urban ride.
